A large portion of our concentration is on nature in correlation with the seasons. In the fall we touch on apples, pumpkins, squirrels, leaves, pine cones, acorns and the trees they come from. During the winter months, we enjoy making snowmen and studying snowflakes by bringing the snow into our classroom. We also learn about different arctic animals and animals that hibernate. In the spring we enjoy exploring flowers, bumble bees, lady bugs, frogs, ducks, etc. Our weekly lessons also include many of our favorite seasonal holidays and some of our favorite authors and storybooks too. Songs, finger plays and books are infused into this extraordinary curriculum.
